BUNIONS

Progressive deformity of the first metatarsal phalangeal joint, commonly hereditary and aggravated by poor footwear (heels, narrow shoes). Not all bunions are symptomatic and treatment is not always required. Commonly surgery is indicated to reduce deformity and re-align the joint.
