and Warts
Refers to wart on the foot often has a flattened appearance on plantar surface of the foot. Will appear more wart like (cauliflower) on toes and non weight-bearing areas. Caused by human papilloma virus, affect any area on the foot. Can be confused with corns and callus.
Small punctuated area on foot Lesion with small black dots (blood vessels) Cauliflower like appearance Painful when pinched Pain when walking Foot warts
Mildly infectious Picked up in warm wet areas- gyms, swimming pools, bathrooms
Prevention! Flip flops Debridement of lesion Caustic acids Freezing- Cryo therapy Minor surgery |
